The Byron Bay market is a local Sunday scene not to be missed. In this town known for it’s “alternative” (read: hippy) lifestyle and in a country as green and grassroots as it gets, this market is a real showcase. There were the usual stalls of colorful produce, for sure. But the handmade crafts of all colors and shapes, the live music and crunchy, yummy food were the real stars here. Our friend, Jan, sells her truffles at Byron Market and insisted we go, even though she’s back in the States for a visit with her folks. She was right. The place was huge and humming with good vibes. A total treat. Intermittent sunshowers only added to the daydream mysto-groove.
